The entire purpose of this blog is to help us to learn to live in Abundance. We are able to do this by first learning the meaning of abundance. Only then can we live into it. It makes sense right? Of course it does. We can’t act properly on something we do not understand.
To demonstrate what it takes to live into Abundance I would like to use an example many of us can relate to; cooking from scratch versus baking from scratch.
Personally, I like to cook. Cooking is an art. It has some basic rules, but they are forgiving and once you learn the rules you can really be creative. On the other hand, baking is more of a science. It doesn’t have rules, it has absolute laws. If you don’t follow the laws of baking, you get a mess. Abundance is like baking. It is a science with laws that if broken can create a mess.
Abundance requires us to tend to things in a specific order. First we must build a solid foundation of health, giving primary importance to our spiritual health. If the word ‘spiritual’ creates inner conflict for you, you can substitute spiritual health with a positive attitude, or as I like to say an attitude of gratitude, acceptance, and humility. Once we have tended to our spiritual health and attitude our mental health will follow and our physical health is a given.
Once we have sufficiently tended to our health in all three areas we are naturally more harmonious with ourselves and peace, love and happiness will overflow from us to others. This addresses the second area we will nurture; relationships. We have a relationship with “source”, ourselves and others. When we have sufficient health within ourselves we have a foundation which is strong enough, wide and deep enough to support being peaceful and happy in our relationships.
Finally, when we are consistently harmonious in our relationships, our desire for prosperity naturally creates an overflow of resources, time and impact all around us. It is as if we were meant to live happy and prosperous lives!
This order of health as the foundation for harmony and harmony as the space for prosperity means that our ultimate access to experiencing Abundance to the fullest extent is all accessible by powerfully and positively addressing our health! Which means we don’t have to control all of the things we tend to think we have to control in order to experience happiness and Abundance.
Put more simply, addressing the foundations of health create everything we need to allow the rest of Abundance to come flowing in!!!
Said another way, the only thing we can control is the only thing we need to control. What is that? It is our attitude or spiritual health! Look, that means that all Abundance is available to us through just one thing! When we take care of our attitude the doors to mental clarity and physical vibrancy open up to us, allowing us to experience peace and happiness in all of our relationships, naturally leading us into overflowing prosperity! And when we neglect our responsibility to our attitude or spiritual health, our mental and physical health suffer and rob us of the quality relationships which allow us to naturally cause prosperity for ourselves and others.
This means that in order to live in Abundance we must control or be responsible for just one thing … and that is our attitude or spiritual health.
When I was just a young girl, I was given a poem by Charles Swindoll called “Attitude”. I would read it every day and I reflected on it when life wasn’t what I desired. It led me to where I am today with a life of health, harmony, and prosperity. I made lots of mistakes and messes along the way, but I was able to see where and how I could have chosen more wisely. May this blog and Charles Swindoll’s words guide you to a brighter future with overflowing Abundance!
